该报告表示，2013年，投资者将更加青睐公寓和办公楼市场，而开发商则集中在零售市场。
这份报告反映了来自加拿大、美国和拉丁美洲的900多位受访者的观点，该报告表示“相对于其他国家来讲，加拿大表现非常良好”，这也似乎成为整个国家的主题。

该报告表示，预计加拿大房地产市场将保持平稳，2013年多数房地产市场将保持“适度良好”（modestly good）的投资与发展前景，房地产市场供给与需求将保持稳定。就全国而言，卡尔加里是位列头名的城市，其次是埃德蒙顿、多伦多、温哥华与渥太华。
 
该调查报告显示，在投资与发展前景中，卡尔加里均位列第一位，而在住宅建设前景中，位列第二位。“增长将成为卡尔加里未来发展的特征。2013年，卡尔加里将取代多伦多，成为加国顶级的房地产投资城市，这就使得在卡尔加里获得高质量的房地产更加困难，”该报告表示，“优质房地产项目的吸收率达到了历史最高水平，同时由于供应有限，租金也跟着水涨船高。2013年将持续这种趋势，尤其是在办公室和工业空间领域。住宅和非住宅领域的建设活动都将增加，但是应该依然低于危机之前的水平。”

在此次调查的参与者看来，相对于该报告研究的其他地区，尤其是美国的不稳定市场而言，加拿大房地产市场似乎将保持永久的平衡状态。“加拿大房地产业内人士都理解房地产市场的基本面，并且知道如何应对货币政策和资本市场的波动。尽管国内外经济存在诸多不确定性，但是加拿大房地产业依然运营良好，”普华永道公司加拿大房地产部门领导人Lori-Ann Beausoleil表示。

该报告还表示，卡尔加里扩张的经济需求大量的、高技能的劳动力。预计明年就业率将增长2.8%，2014年继续增长2.9%，就业率的增长主要受石油和天然气行业的驱动。 此外，该报告还表示，目前还存在争议的输往美国和卑诗省（British Columbia）的石油管道项目若获得审批，也将进一步刺激卡尔加里的房地产建设活动。
 
卡尔加里的住宅市场和非住宅市场表现都非常强劲。此外，据加拿大抵押和住房公司（Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation，即CMHC）预测，今年，卡尔加里大都会区房屋竣工量将为12,400套，比2011年上涨33%，达到2007年以来的最高水平；仲量联行公司（Jones Lang LaSalle）报告表示，卡尔加里市中心将出现办公楼开发热潮。
